Le photographe
Nicolas D. Chauvet
Franco-Swiss, born in Geneva, I've been taking photographs since I was a teenager. From this period, the taste for black and white has remained deeply rooted in me. Black and white is a work of darkness and light that evokes and suggests more than it shows. I photograph only humans, whether in the open spaces of the street during my travels or in the intimacy of the studio. For eight years, I've been part of the “Une Photo Par Jour” collective, whose members commit to publishing a daily image, taken on the day itself. For me, photography is my way of testifying to my love of humanity.
